What kind of student are you?

New Student | Admissions Checklist

1. Attend Tuesday Campus Visit—not required but strongly recommend.

  • Visiting the campus to meet with an advisor is the best way to navigate the admissions process. Although not required, our Tuesday Campus Visit is something we strongly recommend for every student applying to DCTC.
  • Campus Visits are held every Tuesday at 12:45 p.m.
  • No appointment necessary.
  • If Tuesday visits are not possible, please contact an admissions advisor at admissions@dctc.edu for a one-on-one appointment.

2. Complete and submit application for admission.

3. Pay one-time, nonrefundable $20 application fee.

  • Payable to DCTC
  • Payment is due before your acceptance to DCTC
  • Pay Online

4. Complete and submit immunization form.

5. Take ACCUPLACER test.

6. Possess high school diploma or GED.

7. Submit transcripts.

  • If you graduated from high school within the past five years, you must submit your high school transcript.
  • GED recipients must provide copy of GED certificate.
  • College students or graduates who wish to transfer college credits must provide official college transcripts. Official transcripts should be sent directly to DCTC from previous college. Transcripts submitted in person must be in a sealed envelope.

Register for Courses

Register as an undeclared student if you don't have a degree in mind and just wish to take a course or two. Register online if you've completed the Admissions Checklist, been accepted to the college and attended a Course Advising & Registration session.
